From the like button on social media to the lyrics in our favorite songs, organs are deeply woven into pop culture. They've become so embedded in our everyday lives that we often don’t even notice them.
Heartless simulated what it feels like to be someone waiting, hoping, and yearning for an organ transplant — by reimagining popular songs without organs. These covers appeared in the places people expect to hear music online, disrupting them with missing lyrics and moments of silence, prompting listeners to think about the organ that’s missing.
